Sven Gerzer was quoted in the Charlotte Business Journal about a trip this month to Germany with a delegation of local and state government leaders and executives. The trip was geared at promoting the Charlotte region as a destination to expand or locate business operations and coincided with the Carolina Panthers’ game in Munich.

"It’s a huge deal in Germany to have an NFL game," said Sven, who grew up in Munich. "I happened to be there two years ago when they had their first game. There was massive marketing. Now, having the Panthers play, it’s a great opportunity to make use of the free promotion and show what a great place this is for investment."

Fellow members of Parker Poe’s Business Expansion + Location Solutions (BELS) Team Al Guarnieri and Dom Lerario were also on the trip. The firm has a 40-year history of promoting German American trade and investment through legal counsel, business advice, and personal relationships.

It is trips like this that "plant the seeds" for future growth and interest, Sven told the publication.
