On Friday, May 29, TTI broke ground on a new 1.3 million square foot facility that will be built at the intersection of I-85 and SC Highway 81 in Anderson, SC. This state-of-the-art facility represents an $85 million investment that will create 216 new jobs.
TTI and its predecessors have been outstanding corporate citizens of Upstate South Carolina since 1933. The company produces well-known power tool, outdoor and floor care brands such as Milwaukee, AEG, Ryobi, Homelite, Hoover, Orek, Vax and Dirt Devil, among others. Since TTI’s acquisition of Ryobi in 2000, the company has grown exponentially, broadening their product portfolio to include power tools and accessories, outdoor products, and floor care products.
Parker Poe’s diverse team of attorneys and site selection consultants worked together to assist TTI with their assessment of various locations on which to build their new Operations Facility, including:
- site selection
- incentive negotiation support
- project coordination
- legal representation associated with incentives
- real estate acquisition and related matters
“We assisted TTI in evaluating candidate sites and then worked closely with their executives and economic development leaders from Anderson County, the South Carolina Department of Commerce and other stakeholders to help make this vision a reality. We congratulate TTI on this significant announcement and greatly appreciate the opportunity we had to assist in their efforts.”
